An easy stew that can be used to make a fish bake if you add mash and bake in the oven.

Ingredients

  • tomatoes, tinned or spaghetti sauce
  • carrots, sliced
  • potatoes, chopped
  • celery, sliced
  • fish, chopped
  • 500ml vegetable stock
  • white wine (optional)
  • extra potatoes, mashed (only if you want to make a fish stew)

Method

Add the carrots, tomatoes and stock to a pan. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add the fish and cook from another 15 minutes. Serve with crusty bread.

Alternatively, place the stew in a greased lasagne dish and top with mash and cheese. Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes.
