{"id":730,"date":"2014-01-13T01:05:48","date_gmt":"2014-01-13T01:05:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jessgramp.net\/recipes\/?p=730"},"modified":"2023-02-09T00:34:57","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T00:34:57","slug":"paleo-detox-days-6-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessgramp.com\/recipes\/paleo-detox-days-6-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Paleo detox: days 6-10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So it&#8217;s the second week coming up shortly and this detox all still seems pretty easy \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Breakfast<br \/> <\/em>I had a pre-prepared blueberry and raspberry and banana smoothie (made with Almond milk) before yoga this morning<br \/> Then scrambled eggs again once I got to work<\/p>\n<p><em>Lunch<br \/> <\/em>For lunch I had a prawn salad again<\/p>\n<p><em>Snacks<\/em><br \/> Eggy muffins<\/p>\n<p><em>Dinner<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>I made a soup in the slow cooker the night before and so all I had to do was add the Umeboshi paste (as a stock substitute) and coconut milk. I used the block and mixed this with hot water, but it hindsight I think tinned milk would have mixed in better.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dessert<br \/> <\/em>I had a little of the smoothie I was pre-making for tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Preparing for tomorrow night&#8217;s dinner&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>Sweet potato cakes<\/em><br \/> Tonight I mashed together a baked sweet potato (after peeling off the skin and discarding) with some veg I&#8217;d roasted a few days earlier including carrots, spring onions, mushrooms and radishes. I then formed little patties and fried them &#8211; unfortunately they were still a bit soft, so when I get some coconut flour I will try adding that in, but they did taste nice. I served it with spicy hot sauce.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Breakfast<\/em><br \/> Banana and berry smoothie with almond milk<br \/> Poached eggs with spinach, spring onion and leek, served with hot sauce<\/p>\n<p><em>Lunch<\/em><br \/> Leek &amp; Cauliflower Soup<\/p>\n<p><em>Dinner<\/em><br \/> Sweet potato cakes and <a title=\"Amaze-balls (aka Bora Bora Balls)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jessgramp.net\/recipes\/amaze-balls\/\">Bora Bora balls<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Breakfast<br \/> <\/em>My last 2 eggy muffins<br \/> A strawberry and banana smoothie<\/p>\n<p><em>Lunch<br \/> <\/em>Mixed salad with grated carrot, sliced leek and red onion with tinned tuna and a vinaigrette made from umeboshi paste, lemon juice, crushed garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and olive oil.<\/p>\n<p><em>Snacks<br \/> <\/em>A few <a title=\"Amaze-balls (aka Bora Bora Balls)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jessgramp.net\/recipes\/amaze-balls\/\">Bora Bora balls<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Dinner<\/em><br \/> Courgette Spaghetti Bolognese<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Breakfast<\/em><br \/> A black coffee &amp; a handful of blueberries<br \/> The largest scrambled eggs you&#8217;ve ever seen with loads of spinach, mushrooms, leek, spring onions &amp; fresh herbs<\/p>\n<p><em>Lunch<\/em><br \/> 1 large tin of tuna<br \/> 1 large salad with gem lettuce, avocado, spring onion, leek, herbs, salt and pepper with a lemon juice &amp; olive oil vinaigrette.<\/p>\n<p><em>Snacks<\/em><br \/> Cashews<br \/> 1 banana<br \/> Another black coffee to get me through the last few hours of the work week!<\/p>\n<p><em>Dinner<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This was my first meal out and out of the 20 of so menus we looked at, this was one of the only ok options. It was a nice meal though and there was a gourmet burger place we could have gone too as well.<\/p>\n<p>So I ended up having a whole grilled fish with char grilled veges and a simple green salad with lemon juice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Brunch<\/em><br \/> I had a lie in so today I had a coffee with almond milk and cooked a large brunch.<\/p>\n<p><em>Breakfast concasse<br \/> <\/em>Tinned tomatoes with roasted peppers, mushrooms, fried onion &amp; garlic and spices including cayenne pepper, hot paprika, chilli flakes, pepper, salt flakes and nutmeg. After cooking everything for about 10 minutes I made two wells and cracked in 2 eggs to fry. I prefer my eggs well done so I flipped them, but if you prefer your eggs sunny side up you can reduce the heat until done.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dinner<\/em><br \/> Courgette spaghetti bolognese<\/p>\n<p><em>Dessert<\/em><br \/> 1 banana and some walnuts<\/p>\n<div id=\"ap_listener_added\">So, I&#8217;ve made it 1\/3 of the way through and it&#8217;s not been too difficult so far. Saying that, I have spent A LOT of time grocery shopping &amp; cooking &#8211; lucky I love cooking so much or I&#8217;d be in trouble.
