{"id":62,"date":"2008-08-26T21:11:34","date_gmt":"2008-08-26T11:11:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jessgramp.com.au\/wordpress\/?p=62"},"modified":"2023-02-09T00:34:59","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T00:34:59","slug":"corned-beef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessgramp.com\/recipes\/corned-beef\/","title":{"rendered":"Corned Beef"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is one of my favourite&#8217;s from the Johnson cookbook.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>corned beef<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>corned beef<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 onion<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon mixed spice<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 carrot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>white sauce<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>milk<\/li>\n<li>flour<\/li>\n<li>water<\/li>\n<li>salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>METHOD<\/p>\n<p>Rinse corned beef and place in a crockpot or slow cooker. Cover with water and add vinegar, spice, sugar and veges. Bring to the boil and simmer for around 1 hour per kilo. Leave the meat in the water until it&#8217;s ready to serve.
