{"id":609,"date":"2013-08-04T20:20:21","date_gmt":"2013-08-04T20:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jessgramp.net\/recipes\/?p=609"},"modified":"2023-02-09T00:34:57","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T00:34:57","slug":"creamy-celery-bake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessgramp.com\/recipes\/creamy-celery-bake\/","title":{"rendered":"Creamy celery bake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A tasty side-dish for chicken, fish or beef.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 16px\">celery, chopped into 10cm pieces<\/span><\/li>\n<li>celery flowers, diced (optional)<\/li>\n<li>spring onion, sliced<\/li>\n<li>10 peppercorns<\/li>\n<li>1 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li>1 litre vegetable stock<\/li>\n<li>100ml cr\u00e8me fraiche<\/li>\n<li>grated cheese<\/li>\n<li>breadcrumbs<\/li>\n<li>butter for greasing the baking dish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bring the stock, bay leaf and peppercorns to the boil. Add the celery sticks and simmer for 20 minutes until it&#8217;s tender. Drain the celery and remove the bay leaf, retaining the stock.<\/p>\n<p>Place the celery, onion and peppercorns in a small, greased baking dish.<\/p>\n<p>Take the stock and stir in the cr\u00e8me fraiche and celery flowers. Season with freshly ground pepper. Pour the sauce over the celery.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle grated cheese on top and then top with breadcrumbs to form a crusty top.
