{"id":1653,"date":"2026-01-07T10:25:46","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T10:25:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jessgramp.com\/recipes\/?p=1653"},"modified":"2026-01-07T10:26:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T10:26:00","slug":"marzipan-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jessgramp.com\/recipes\/marzipan-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Marzipan cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I bought some marzipan for Christmas this year and made these marzipan cookies.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup flour<\/li>\n<li>200g marzipan<\/li>\n<li>1 egg white<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons Amaretto &#8211; Disaronno etc.<\/li>\n<li>1 pinch salt<\/li>\n<li>1 egg yolk, for topping the biscuits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Crumble the marzipan into a bowl. Add the flour, salt and cinnamon. Separate the egg and keep the egg yolk to the side. Add the egg white and beat it lightly in a small bowl with a fork. Add the egg white to the mix with the Disaronno. Mix well with a spoon and your hands until it forms a dough.<\/p>\n<p>Roll the dough flat and use a small glass or cookie cutter to cut out biscuits. Place on a greased tray. Top with the egg yolk wash.<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
